Artist Homepage Guide
1.Locality
Providers
First, you decide on a location. In this case, Artisdo is your preferred location, as other artists and creatives have also settled there, and you feel understood and comfortable in the Artisdo community. Welcome to the Artisdo community!
2.Address
Domain
Of course, you need an address so that you can be reached later for productions, interested parties, etc. Your digital address would be your domain, your desired domain, for example www.yourartistname.com
3.Property
Hosting
To build the house somewhere, you’ll obviously need a plot of land. Your digital plot would be your chosen hosting package, depending on the size. Whether you need more or less space is up to you. You can, of course, start small and expand your plot later if you no longer have enough space.
4.Privacy
Privacy
Anyone who owns a website is legally required to provide an imprint, which means that the imprint must include the contact details of the „resident“. This means that anyone who visits the artist’s website can easily find the artist’s home address or telephone number in the imprint. That’s why we’ve thought about how you can protect your privacy. You can remove your personal data from the imprint. As an agency, we can use our address and receive your fan mail, for example, in c/o and forward it directly to you. This way you don’t have to worry about unwanted guests. However, we would also like to mention again that we only receive mail in c/o and forward it directly to you. We continue to accept no liability for the content of your artist website, your art and your presentation. The artist himself is still responsible for the imprint and data protection. There are also other aspects that you should bear in mind to protect your privacy (e.g. the WHOIS entry).
5.Renovation
Care/Maintenance
Your digital home, especially as an artist, needs to be updated regularly. We offer various options for this. You’ll receive a few small tools for your website to perform minor maintenance yourself. However, if you want to have something more extensive done occasionally or even more frequently, we offer web maintenance packages that you can book as an option. If you have a DIY problem, you can also call in a professional or clean your „chimney“ yourself.
